Uses the WMO International Cloud Atlas taxonomy. The tool compares dominant visual features (base height, layering, vertical development, edges) you select against canonical descriptors for the ten cloud genera: Cirrus, Cirrocumulus, Cirrostratus, Altocumulus, Altostratus, Nimbostratus, Stratocumulus, Stratus, Cumulus, Cumulonimbus.
