Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

1. Overview

NimbusLab is built around privacy. Most tools run entirely in your browser; nothing about the calculation is sent to our servers. This policy explains what data is — and is not — collected when you use NimbusLab, including when third-party advertising partners serve ads on the site.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not require accounts. We do not store the photos you upload to the cloud identifier — they stay in your browser. We do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, or government identifiers from you directly.

3. Browsing Records

Standard server logs (timestamp, requested page, user-agent, referrer) may be retained briefly for operational monitoring, abuse prevention, and aggregated, non-personally-identifying traffic analysis. These logs are not used to build a personal profile, but they may be processed by advertising partners (see Section 5 and Section 10) to deliver and measure ads.

4. Geolocation

Some tools may request your browser's geolocation to compute local atmospheric data. Permission is requested explicitly and the value is used only for the active calculation in your current session. Coordinates are not stored on our servers.

5. Third-Party APIs and Advertising Partners

Tools that need atmospheric data request it from free public APIs such as Open-Meteo. Those requests originate from your browser. Review the providers' privacy notices for details on their handling.

NimbusLab also uses third-party advertising partners, including Google AdSense, to display ads. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. Their use of advertising cookies is governed by their own privacy policies. For details on how Google uses data from partner sites, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

NimbusLab itself does not set tracking cookies for its own analytics. However, third-party ad partners (including Google) may set or read cookies and similar identifiers in your browser to deliver ads, limit ad frequency, and measure ad performance. We may also use local-storage entries for tool preferences (for example, your last selected units).

You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings, and you can opt out of personalized advertising from Google (see Section 10).

7. Children

The service is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13, in compliance with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

8. Data Requests

Because we do not maintain user accounts or store personal identifiers, there is usually nothing to export or delete on our side. Advertising partners maintain their own data subject processes — see Section 10 for Google, and contact us through the Contact page for any specific concern.

9. Google Personalized Advertising — Opt Out

Ads served by Google on this site may be personalized based on your inferred interests. You may opt out of personalized advertising from Google at any time:

For more information on how Google uses data from partner sites, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

10. California Residents — CCPA / CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.

NimbusLab does not knowingly sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, the use of advertising cookies by third-party partners may be considered "sharing" under the CPRA. You may opt out of such sharing via the Google controls linked in Section 9, and you may also submit a request to us through the Contact page. We will respond within the timeframes required by California law (generally 45 days).

11. EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents — GDPR

Data Controller.

The data controller for this site is the NimbusLab operator. Contact details are provided on the Contact page.

Lawful Basis.

We process browsing logs and aggregate usage data on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to operate, secure, and improve the service. Geolocation data is processed only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and is used solely for the in-session calculation. Advertising partners process data on the legal basis set out in their own policies.

Data Retention.

Server logs are retained for no more than 30 days and are then deleted or fully anonymized. We do not retain geolocation values after your session ends.

International Data Transfers.

Some third-party providers (such as Google) may process data outside the EEA, UK, or Switzerland. Where required, these transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

Your Rights.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Contact page.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised "Last updated" date.

13. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy should be sent through the Contact page. We aim to respond to all privacy-related inquiries within 30 days.
